精东 Medical Clinics offer a range of mental health services that are available across all of our clinics. These include Psychiatry, Psychology, access to Social Workers and counselling services.

If you require an appointment you can do this by seeing your GP, who will coordinate your care plan.

This is the first step in the process, they鈥檒l assess what help you need and provide options for you.

This could include:

  • Having a mental health assessment
  • Discussion around the various options available for treatment and support
  • Creating a mental health treatment plan. A mental health treatment plan lets you claim up to 20 sessions with a mental health professional each calendar year.
  • To start with, your Doctor or Psychiatrist will refer you for up to 10 sessions at a time. If you need more, there are pathways available to access further sessions.

Mental health phone lines

If you鈥檙e in crisis and need support, call Lifeline on 13 11 14. They鈥檙e open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

If you鈥檙e between the ages of 5 and 25, you can call the kids helpline on 1800 551 800. They鈥檙e open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. They offer a phone counselling service. The website also has helpful information for kids, teenagers, young adults and parents.
